One of several 1st year players who made a big impact on this years team, Casey led all newcomers in innings played, at bats, hits, runs, doubles, RBIs, and total bases. He made the move to the outfield from shortstop and became outstanding. Casey has a even keel approach to the game and you can count on solid effort every day.
Shak is a natural choice for this award. He was fearless in the outfield and never saw a ball he didn’t think he could catch. He played the game as hard as he could and did it with a smile on his face. He was on time, ran until he was out and respected the game. I have no doubt that Cory always gave his best.

David was a cornerstone of our team this year. In addition to his outstanding defense, David was superb from the mound and at the plate. He hit .440 while opponents hit just .219 off him. He struck out 24 batters out of the 108 he faced, yet he struck out only twice in 131 trips to the plate. His versatility allowed us to put David in at several positions and feel confident that he would get the job done. He played the game hard every day and led through his efforts.
