Hunter CarrPitching Award - Hunter Carr

Hunter set an all-time Bulls record with 61 innings pitched. He compiled a 1.95 ERA and opposing hitters hit just .194 off him. He walked just 16 batters and his pickoff move and quick delivery to the plate discouraged the opponents running game. Hunter was used primarily to start games and gave the Bulls a good chance to be leading after the first couple of innings.

Cory ShackelfordDefensive Award - Cory Shackelford

Cory led our team with 268.33 innings played with almost all of them coming in center field. He had a .945 fielding % in 91 chances. He gets great jumps on the ball off the bat and runs excellent routes. He made many tremendous catches that got the Bulls out of jams. He never saw a ball he didn't think he could catch.

Darrus EvansOffensive Award - Darrus Evans

Darrus led our team in several offensive categories this season. Among them are on base %(.506), plate appearances (167), stolen bases (9). He set a new Bulls record for games played in a season with 48. He set the table all year for our team by getting on base and getting in scoring position. Our opponents always found Darrus offensive and occasionally we did too.

Eric BradyRookie of the Year - Eric Brady

One of several 1st year players who made a big impact on this years team, Eric made quality contributions to the team at the plate by hitting .367 with 7 -2B, 2-3B and a HR, defensively at shortstop and 2B where he compiled a .915 fielding % in 106 chances and on the mound where he pitched 25.67 innings and compiled a solid 3.54 ERA. Eric has an even keel approach to the game and you can count on solid effort every day.

Cory ShackelfordHustle Award - Cory Shackelford

Shak is a natural choice for this award. He was fearless in the outfield and never saw a ball he didn't think he could catch. He played the game as hard as he could and did it with a smile on his face-. He was on time, ran until he was out and respected the game. I have no doubt that Cory always gave his best. By the way this is exactly the same description we used last year . . . it still fits.

David RonanCoach's Award - David Ronan

David Ronan was a 1st year Bull who made a huge impact on our team on the field and in the dugout. He hit a team leading 6 HR including 2 Grand Slams. He hit .329, scored 27 and drove in 27 runs. He had a great attitude and did not dwell on his disappointments or failures. David's biggest contribution to our program did not involve bats or balls or gloves. He started what has become a Bulls tradition of the players singing the national anthem prior to games. Nothing our team did this year made me as proud as seeing them proudly sing our anthem. Every time I hear that song from now on David Ronan will come to mind.

Michael DeliaMost Valuable Player - Michael D'Elia

Michael led our team in several offensive categories this year including At Bats, Hits, 2B, Total Bases, and Slugging. He was the guy we called on to come in a shut down opposing teams rallies. Even though he was almost always facing the opponents best hitters with the game on the line, he compiled a 1.93 ERA and opponents hit just .242 off him. He led all Bulls pitchers with 37 strikeouts and established a new Bull's Career Record with 37 appearances on the mound. Michael was our best player and had one of the best seasons of any Bulls ever
