It was heads up base running that helped the Bulls win this game, because both runs were scored on past balls. 5 Bulls pitchers were used to keep Wilson off the scoreboard.

Travis Lush had a terrific start against Oxford striking out 3 of the first 6 batters he faced. Travis did not allow a single hit/walk, and only threw a total of two balls in this excellent start. The Bulls used 5 pitchers for the whole game, only giving up 1 run to Oxford.  TJ Ruth drove in 2 runs and was 1-2 at the plate.  Eric Brady (1-3) and Drew Woodall (1-2) also contributed driving in a run in this low scoring game.

5 Bulls pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter against Benson on Thursday night, and they were a walk and an error away from a perfect game.  James Todd and Brian Stephenson were brilliant getting out all 6 batters they faced in order.  Both pitchers had a nasty curve to go along with straight heat they were dealing.  Eric Brady is starting to warm up again going 4-5 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Jake Milinichik (2-2) and Drew Woodall (1-4) had 2 RBIs and each player hit a triple.

Travis Lush and Jake Milinichik both pitched 2 brilliant innings a piece of no hit baseball to start the game against the Colts.  Derek Carlyle (1-2) started things off for the Bulls hitting a double into the gap and driving in a run.  Hunter Carr (2-3) is still playing fabulous baseball hitting a double to right center, clearing the loaded bases and gaining to more RBIs on the season (last run scored on error). Houston Hawley also pitched 2 innings and was 1-3 with a RBI from the plate.  James Todd finished off the Colts facing three batters in the bottom of the 7th and striking out 2.

Ross Snotherly (1-3) in back to back playoff games hit a bomb 350 feet and this proved to be the game clincher for the Bulls against the Colts.  Eric Brady (1-3) drove in the first run of the game, scoring Grant Shambley (1-1) who also stole a base.  The game ended with Hunter Carr making another Web Gem defensively, skying to snag a line drive with runners on 2nd and 3rd. With this victory the Bulls move on to the District Playoff round.

4 Bulls pitchers were used against Wilson, but it was Jake Milinichik who kept the Bulls in the game.  He had a nasty curve ball going that shutdown Wilson’s offense from the 4th inning on.  Ross Snotherly (1-4) drove in the first run of the game, and Will Smith (2-4) also had an RBI during the game.  Hunter Carr (1-3) and Eric Brady (2-4) had 2 RBIs which allowed the Bulls to creep towards Wilson’s big lead.  The Bulls never gave up fighting all the way down to their final out, but ultimately falling short.

Travis Lush and Jake Milinichik were brilliant yet again for the Bulls combining to throw a total of 5 shutout innings against S. Wayne.  Brian Rhino went 2-4 with double, walk and 3 RBIs for the game. Ross Snotherly was 1-3 from the plate with a sacrifice fly and 2 RBIs, and Drew Woodall was a perfect 2-2 with a sacrifice fly and driving in 1 run.  Hunter Carr was 3-4 with a RBI and he also scored 2 runs for the Bulls.  Houston Hawley hit his first home run of the season driving the ball over the left field wall.

Houston Hawley threw 3 solid innings limiting Morehead City to only 1 run, and Jake Milinichik continues to be lights out as he continues to dominate the opposition with his nasty curve ball.  Ross Snotherly (1-3) hit a huge 3 run home run off the scoreboard to give the Bulls the lead for good. Brian Rhino (3-3) had a great day from the plate driving in 1 run.  Hunter Carr (1-4) and Eric Brady (2-4) both contributed to the Bulls offensive charge driving in 2 runs, and Grant Shambley (1-2) drove in 1 run.  Percy Evans (1-1) had a pinch hit performance, and he placed the Bulls on his back and said “Let me show you the way to the State Championship!”  Percy smashed a double off the left-center fence driving in 2 runs and clinching the game for the Bulls.
