.

Scouting report: Large frame. Strong, physically mature. Resembles Greg Myers. Switch-hitter, plus raw power both sides. More confident Left Handed Hitter, shorter & quicker to ball. Solid arm. Sound transfer, throws accurate. Feet & agility to handle defense. Premier position. Raw power, arm strength.

After a season-ending ACL tear in 2005, Landon reported to Stockton, CA in 2006, where he hit .264 with 15 home runs and 47 RBIs in 326 at-bats for Class A Advanced Stockton. Landon hit home runs in four of five games from June 14 to June 20, going 8-for-22 with nine RBIs over that span. Tim Federowicz (2002)

Tim Federowicz

Tim Federowicz (UNC-Chapel Hill) was drafted in the 7th round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox. Currently playing with the Greenville Drive (Class A) of the South Atlantic League

Scouting Report: Well-built catcher's frame with a strong core. Line drive hitter with decent power potential. Makes good contact, mediocre plate discipline. Behind the plate, Federowicz presently is above average defensively, and has the tools to develop into a very good major league defensive catcher. Extremely strong and accurate arm with a quick release. Calls a good game and handles the pitching staff well. Glovework can use a little bit of improvement. Average speed (pretty good speed for a catcher).

Tim played for the Lowell Spinners, Boston Red Sox Class A Short-Season in the New York-Penn League, where he batted .244 with 6 doubles and 1 homerun.

Cory Harrilchak (2003-2004)

Cory Harrilchak 2010Cory Harrilchak (Elon) was drafted in the 2009 MLB Draft. Cory was drafted in the 14th round by the Atlanta Braves. Currently playing with the Myrtle Beach (Advanced A) of the Carolina League

Scouting Report: He's a 5-foot-11 speedy center fielder with good power, and is considered a "grinder" as opposed to a tools guy. He was ranked as the 22nd best prospect in North Carolina, and was expected to be drafted in the top-15 rounds. A Southern Conference coaches poll listed Harrilchak as the most underrated pitcher, one of the three best pure hitters, the hitter you least want to face, and the best base-runner...

Andrew Wilson (2003)

Andrew Wilson 2010

Andrew Wilson (Liberty) was drafted in the 2009 MLB Draft. Andrew was drafted in the 36th round by the Atlanta Braves. Currently playing with the Rome Braves (Class A) of the South Atlantic League

Wilson completed his final season in 2009 with the Liberty Flames. The right-hander was the most reliable option for the Flames out of the bullpen, registering a 5-3 record with the team’s second-best ERA at 3.52 over 64.0 innings. Wilson finished fourth in the Big South in ERA, ranked fourth in opposing batting average (.249), fifth in strikeouts (70) and tied for fourth in saves (5). Wilson’s five saves were also tops for Liberty, as Wilson averaged 9.84 strikeouts per nine innings over his 24 appearances, 21 of which came out of the bullpen.

Brett Eibner (2004-05)

Brett Eibner Arkansas 2010

Brett Eibner (Arkansas) was drafted in the 2010 MLB Draft. Andrew was drafted in the 2nd round (54th overall) by the Kansas City Royals. He’ll report to the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Pioneer League to start his pro career.

Scouting Report: Eibner is the best two-way prospect in the 2010 draft. Teams are evenly split about whether he has more potential as a pitcher or an outfielder. A fourth-round pick out of high school by the Astros, he has impressive power in his arm and bat. He has added significant polish as both a pitcher and a hitter this spring, making the decision about his future no easier. After not pitching during the fall while recovering from a mild elbow strain sustained in the Cape Cod League, he has refined his command and secondary pitches. His fastball velocity can be inconsistent, as he'll sit at 88-91 mph during some games and 92-94 in others, peaking at 97. His mid-80s slider/cutter is a plus pitch at times, and he has improved his feel for a changeup. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has a loose delivery that he repeats well. Eibner also has considerable upside as a power hitter. He can crush the ball to all fields. His arm is an asset in the outfield, and while his solid speed and athleticism give him a chance to stick in center field at the next level, he projects more as a right fielder. Eibner's preference is to hit, but it remains to be seen if he'll get his wish. He didn't hurt his cause by hitting three homers in the Razorbacks' regional opener against Grambling State, his first game back after missing the Southeastern Conference tournament with a hairline fracture in his right hand. Eibner has a quick bat and raw power (evidenced by his 22 homers in 216 college at bats in 2010) and also plays a solid center field. Rangy and athletic, Eibner has a shot to be a top outfield prospect.
